Spiritual Fuel for Tough Times

Senator Kuya Alan urged Filipinos to draw on “spiritual fuel” to stay strong amid rising costs, linking burnout to weak spiritual grounding and calling for reflection, reconnection with God and family, and collective action across sectors.

Happy Resurrection Sunday. Addressing myself to everyone, especially to [my] fellow Christians that yung hope na binibigay ng death on the cross.

(0:00:51) Pero muling yung pag-rise up, yung muling yung what’s the right way to say it, Filipino way to say it, na yung life, death, and resurrection, diba? So, yung miraculous birth ng Panginoong Hesukristo, yung kanyang buhay, yung kanyang pagkamatay, at yung kanyang resurrection, or yung nga, yung Pasko ng pagkabuhay, no?

(0:01:27) So the hope that comes from that should be something that fuels us.

So bati muna, (Mentioned viewer) from Russia. Pinay sa Belgium. Araw ng pagkabuhay. (Mentioned viewer).

(0:02:27) What I meant is yung resurrection, diba? So, alam ko, Pasko, ah, ng, ng, ah,

(0:02:34) Yung… Sorry. Kasi nga, it has had a new meaning in Christ. But yung po kasing mga… Alam yung history din at yung paggamit ng pagans, mas gusto nila yung Resurrection Sunday. So, yung Pasko ng Pagkabuhay…

(0:03:01) Mas tama kasi dun yung muling pagkabuhay. Kasi nga, he died, then he was resurrected, di ba?

(0:03:06) So it’s just trying to find the right expression, yung resurrection. Siguro that’s also one day, bakit three days, diba? (Mentioned viewer), baka matulungan. Guys, yung basta’t medical, pilit po natin tinutulungan through the private and public sector. Sa livelihood, meron naman tayong projects. Wala naman pong bawal ngayon.

(0:03:34) Sa pagkat hindi naman po eleksyon. So as much as we can, there’s so many organizations din and churches helping kasi alam naman talaga na hirap. (Mentioned viewer), watching from Cavite.

Let’s see. With, of course, Kuya Boy. Batiin ko na rin si Kuya Boy. Medyo matagal-tagal rin hindi kami nagkakwentuhan. Whether on-air or off-air. Dami na ng topics, no? So, guys, I just really wanted to express my…

(0:04:18) gratitude sa Panginoon. Who are we? And in fact, we were rebelling. Hindi lang who are we, we are nothing in His eyes. We were rebelling but still, sariling anak ang binigay. To pray and to love our enemies, diba? Madaling mahalin yung pinakamalalapit sa atin. Yung talagang mahal natin, madaling pagsilbihan. Ang hirap pong mahalin, patawarin, at pagsilbihan. Ang mga hindi po natin whether kagalit natin, may galit or…

(0:05:11) For whatever reason, no? So, ang dami ko pong gustong sabihin, and actually natigil yung ating pagba-vlog, ang ating topic ay Potential. So, I wanted to link sana Potential, Purpose, and Planning. Diba? When He took human form, diba? Yung ministry niya, mahigit 3 years lang. Pero na-achieve niya yung kanyang purpose.

(0:05:42) Si Apostle Paul, mahaba-haba ang buhay niya, pero nakita niyo nung tapos nasabi niya, di ba yung yung to press on and then yung na-pour out na. And then nung sinabi niya, I have run the race, natapos niya. So makikita niyo po whether longer yung life or shorter yung life. O watching from Dubai. Guys, let’s say nga a prayer para sa ating mga OFWs who are abroad. So kung ano man religion natin, mag-join din tayo.

(0:06:18) Lord, Father, God, we know that you are always in control. We know you are God of order. We know, Lord, you are God of miracles, yung mga hindi possible sa amin possible sa iyo. Alam po namin, Lord, na may ilan mga tao at powerful gobyerno na nagde-decide, Lord, whether it is the leaders of the United States of America, leaders of Israel, leaders of Iran, Lord, the leaders of the Middle East countries, leaders of Europe, leaders in Southeast Asia, leaders of the superpowers, may it be the US, Russia, China, EU. Lord, we ask you that you give them wisdom, Lord God, na ikaw ang magbago ng mga dapat baguhin. We pray for those who are suffering, Lord. We pray for protection for all the OFWs, Lord. Hindi lang ang OFWs na Pilipino, Lord. Yung mga Indian na OFWs, Indonesian, Sri Lanka.

(0:07:07) Mga Koreano po who are also all around the world, Lord, we just pray for them at this time, Lord, to comfort them, to keep them safe. Lord, we ask that for our leaders, Lord, to have the wisdom of how to navigate the crisis, Lord, especially food prices, fuel prices, paano po ibalanse yung ayuda sa pagbababa ng presyo, Lord. We lift this up to you and ask, Lord, that anuman mangyari, you turn it into good, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

(0:07:37) We pray for the mayors. So pagdasal din po natin mayors, barangay captains and local leaders and business leaders. Hadja Norhaida Darimbang watching from Davao.

So guys, I’m also getting organized. Kaya sinabi ko planning because we all only have 24 hours a day. But obviously, some people have more resources than others. Yung iba, mas maraming kapital o pera. Yung iba, mas maraming pinag-aralan. Mas mabigat pinag-aralan.

(0:08:33) Yung iba naman po ay may talents. Halimbawa, magaling talaga sa AI, sa coding, sa computer. Magaling kumanta, magaling mag-network, diba? So, kanya-kanya po, maraming kamag-anak, maraming kaibigan. But we all only have 24 hours. So, one way of leveraging and making sure we meet our purpose is to employ planning. Kaya ako gusto ko inject yung potential kasi sometimes we judge ourselves based on others. So kung halimbawa sa training-training niya, 10 to 20 kilometers.

So pag naka-5, tuwang-tuwa na. But ang question, what’s my potential?

(0:09:49) Yung 10, diba? Ganon din, diba? So for example, if this week I was able to help 500 people, that’s good. It’s always good to help people. But what if my potential was to help 1,000?

(0:10:00) So yung maraming piece tayong pag-uusapan, hindi lang 4 piece, 7 piece Pero this week, dun muna po tayo sa tatlo na purpose, potential, at saka planning and I want to link that nga dito sa Holy Week, sa reflection natin Because all of us are looking for repentance, renewal, revival, reformation, reconciliation, diba?

(0:10:28) So I’ll try, I’m really praying na matahi-tahi natin into lessons that are Bible-based, Christ-centered, that’s for everyone regardless of our age, regardless of our religion, but that will really help us have a purpose-driven life. Sabi ni Polly, potential goes hand-in-hand with consistency, planning, discipleship…

(0:10:56) Sorry, Paulie, pero I agree with you. Tinamaan tuloy ako dun sa consistency.

(0:11:00) Kasi nga, pinag-aaralan ko talaga. But thank you sa lahat sa inyo na nag-encourage na dapat dalas-dalasan ko yung pagba-vlog, pag-on-air. And gulat ako, two or three times that I actually vlogged or posted something. Tens of thousands of 5,000, tens of thousands, tag-100,000 pa minsan.

And bilang asawa, you know, I try my best to support her and really to help the city and help everyone else. Saisay, tama ba? Sisi? Saisay? Kuales? We’ll help. Siguro mag ano ka. Anyway, yung staff namin binabantayan to. We’ll get in touch.

(0:11:48) So guys, continue to pray. Continue to center yourself. Kailangan natin lahat yung taking one step backward before we take two steps forward.

(0:12:07) na pansin ko na kaya nga diba once a week yung sabbath kaya nga diba tignan mo mga kapatid natin muslim five times a day na nagdadasal diba so napaka importante po sa tao yung quiet time time with the lord time with yourself time with family diba.

(0:12:28) Out out sir tulungan nyo kami taas ng presyo ng gasolina. Magkakaroon po tayo ng ulit ng hearing and I think we should really crowdsource all of the ideas.

(0:12:51) We can all pitch in, diba? Constructive criticism, diba? Para nga maayos to, diba?

(0:13:11) God bless you guys. Magandang umaga sa inyo. So, dalas-dalasan natin. So, let’s all prepare for the topic para babasahin ko rin mga comment nyo. But, yun nga, sa lahat po na nag-spend on time sa ating Panginoon during this Holy Week, I hope it was very meaningful. I hope we are re-centered. And for me, paulit-ulit yung sa mind ko yung sinabi ni Lord Jesus na seek first His kingdom and righteousness. Even hanggang dun lang eh, bonus na yung and everything shall be added unto you. But you know, if we can only imagine 1% ng pinagdaanan ng Panginoong Hesukristo for us para tayo ma-reconcile, babaguhin-babaguhin talaga natin ang ating buhay.

(0:14:03) We all get caught in that rat race, diba? We all get caught in too much thought, in mental noise, in anxiety, in thinking too much ng mga problema. But sabi nga ni Dr. Myles Munroe, I really believe, ginamit siya ng Panginoon, sinabi niya ito na, leaders see opportunities. So kahit anong problema, kahit anong struggle, we have to look for the opportunity. Of course, let’s be sensitive. So, kung walang damo, may opportunity talaga, titingin tayo. God bless you guys. Have a blessed week ahead.

(0:14:51) Check in ako sa inyo mamaya and we’ll have a good discussion. Gawa ako ng outline. God bless you.
