Alan Peter “Compañero” Cayetano is deeply committed to improving access to healthcare for Filipinos, especially the underprivileged and indigent patients across the Philippines. Through his Medical Help initiatives — widely known as the Social Care (Tulong-Medikal) Program — Cayetano’s office provides direct medical assistance, helping those who struggle with the high costs of treatment, hospital bills, medicines, procedures, and related healthcare needs.
The program is part of a larger hospital and community outreach effort that brings medical support directly to patients — particularly those with limited financial means — by setting up medical assistance desks at hospitals and during medical caravans in partnership with local government units and the Department of Health (DOH).
